John E. Unsworth, Jr.
Mr. Unsworth is of counsel in the Metairie office, and has been with the firm since 1986. His practice consists primarily of general civil litigation, casualty litigation, insurance law, insurance coverage issues, and premises liability law. He has successfully defended major corporations and insurance companies in a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana. Many of Mr. Unsworth's cases relate to medico-legal issues of causation and diagnosis and the need for treatment drawing upon formal training in biology and chemistry and a practical background as a surgical technician. Mr. Unsworth is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
